I don’t know what Mike Timlin promised Coco over the past two years. He could have offered him a deer or just as easily threatened him with a crossbow. Either way, they’re best friends. Because Coco doesn’t make those catches for anybody, just Timlin. Remember who was on the mounds for Coco’s last gravity-defying catch against the Mets last year? You guessed it, Timlin. Without Coco, Timlin’s ERA would be a few points higher with a lovely (BS) next to his name in the box score last night.

Oh yeah, and Beckett did pretty well too. He’s now won his first six starts, and is the first pitcher to do that in a Sox uni since some guy named Clemens. Whatever.
