First off, thanks to Allan at Joy of Sox for the link today. Ironically, of all the things he chose to quote from here, he picked the Mirabelli story. Well, I guess somebody in the Sox organization thought that ego was just too much for them to handle after seven years and released Dougie this morning. I guess we’ve finally seen the last of Dougie going deep (and grounding into double-plays) in a Sox uniform. But then again, maybe the Sox trade away Buchholz and Ellsbury a month into the season to get him back again…
