Following Some Sox Alumni

Today was opening day for the rest of the league, so it seemed appropriate to check in and see how some of the former Sox players are doing.

Eric Gagne pulled a…well…an Eric Gagne and gave up a 3 run lead before getting a single out in a Brewers uniform in the bottom of the 9th. But Gabe Kapler came as a defensive replacement and unlike Gagne didn’t screw anything up (the Hebrew Hammer can never do wrong!).

Erik Hinske homered against Baltimore tying him with Brandon Moss for 2nd most in the majors. For the record, JD Drew still is last in the majors in HR, BA, RBIs, runs and hits.

And Dougie sat a home eating his chicken parm and telling anyone who would listen that he was released because the American League was too afraid of him this season.

Oh yeah, and the Rays (1-0) now lead the AL East. Gotta love Opening Day.
