How many times have seen Oki and Delcarmen sit there and get 0-2 and then corner ball with the pitching and get to 3-2? That DRIVES ME CRAZY. You get up on a hitter 0-2 you STOP playing stupid games with the guy and put him away. What our pitchers have done this year is get ahead, then try a corner, miss it every time. Then they get cute with trying to get the guy to fish after a pitch, miss that one. Now they are 2-2. The hitter is back in the count. You get a 0-2 you throw the first pitch again. Why is it the bullpen is ALWAYS playing cutsey with the count? Even Papelbon is doing it - throw strikes, keep it off the middle of the plate, and get the batters to swing and get outs. Rant off. Who ARE these guys playing out there anyway? I go away on vacay for 2 weeks, come back and its like a new team. Hope for us short guys –
