I drove my wife nuts watching this game. I have Sox playlist on MySpace. Nothing but Dropkick Murphys, Neil Diamond, and The Standells (I'd have hat Jonathan Richman "Fenway Park" song on there too if I could find it). Anyway, when things were looking the bleakest, I started playing songs off the playlist over and over and over. As I said - drove the wife nuts. But it got the job done.

I started watching the game late and was following the score on my cell phone. I happened to tune into TBS at the bottom of the 7th while talking to a friend on the phone. Holy crap! That friend will be deaf for a week.

OMG. OMG. OMFG. I was there. We stayed. It was amazing. Nothing has compared to that which I have personally seen at Fenway. We were sitting in Pavilion Club 4, Row 4, and could see into the Sox dugout.

When the Rays came out in the bottom of the 7th - you could see them tasting the champagne - they had it in the bag and they knew it. We could see Pedroia moving through the dugout slapping guys on the shoulders, Varitek and Papelbon were right in guys faces and Papi was sitting there - just sitting there - with a look of intense concentration. You could see 'it' happening in the Sox dugout.

When Papi came up to hit - you could just feel it - he was overdue and he was gonna put paid to the boos that happened after his earlier at bats. Yes - people were booing Papi AT Fenway.
